Interior Designer Serving Winston-Salem, NC

There is a difference between a house that has been decorated and a home that has been designed. The first is a collection of nice things. The second is a set of rooms that work together — scale, light, flow and color resolved so the whole house feels intentional.
June Delugas Interiors has been designing homes in Winston-Salem and across the Triad for more than 25 years. Our approach starts with you: how you live, what you already love, what your budget is, and what the architecture of your home is asking for. Then we design to that.
Full-service design or a single room
Not every project needs a whole-house plan. We work at three levels:
Consultation. A working session in your home. We walk the space, answer the questions you are stuck on — paint, furniture layout, scale, what to keep — and leave you with a direction you can execute yourself.
Room-by-room design. One space at a time, fully designed and furnished. A living room, a primary bedroom, a dining room. A common starting point for new clients.
Full-service design. Whole-house or whole-project design, managed end to end: space planning, furnishings, window treatments, art, accessories, delivery and installation. You approve the plan; we handle the rest, including the freight, the receiving and the day the truck arrives.

Our showroom and design center
Our retail showroom and design center on Old Glory Road is open to the public Monday through Friday, about fifteen minutes from downtown Winston-Salem. It is a working design center, not just a store: physical samples of tile, granite, quartz, fabrics and wood finishes, alongside furniture you can actually sit in.
We carry quality American-made lines, many made here in the Triad — Hickory Chair, Miles Talbott, Michael Thomas, Hickory White, Lillian August, Stanford, Ambella Home, Gat Creek, Old Biscayne, Designmaster, Keystone Collection and Bassett — plus luxury bedding from Peacock Alley, SFERRA, Bella Notte, Traditions, Pom Pom and Eastern Accents, antiques, oil paintings by local artists, custom rugs, mirrors and lamps. Beyond the floor, we source from more than 500 manufacturers.
Our design process
- Discovery call — a short conversation about the project and your timeline.
- In-home consultation — we see the space, take measurements and photographs, and talk honestly about budget.
- Concept and plan — floor plans, furniture layouts, and a presentation of fabrics, finishes and pieces so you can see the room before you buy it.
- Revisions and approval — we refine until it is right.
- Ordering and project management — we place orders, track lead times, and receive and inspect everything.
- Installation day — furniture, drapery, art and accessories go in together, and you walk into a finished room.
Interior design in Winston-Salem and beyond
We work throughout Winston-Salem — Buena Vista, Ardmore, West End, Reynolda, Sherwood Forest, Country Club, Washington Park and Robinhood — and serve Lewisville, Clemmons, Advance, Burlington, Greensboro, Lake Norman, Mount Airy, Lexington, Mocksville and beyond.
Because we also design and build, we can take a project from removing a wall all the way through hanging the drapery. Most interior designers hand you off to a contractor at that point, and most contractors hand you an empty room.

Frequently asked questions
How do interior designers charge?
It depends on scope. Consultations are billed for the session; full-service design is quoted per project after the initial consultation. We will be clear about fees before any work begins.
Do I need to redo my whole house?
No. Many clients start with one room and continue from there.
Can I use furniture I already own?
Yes, and we encourage it. Part of our job is telling you what is worth keeping and what is working against the room.
Do you do commercial interiors?
Yes — offices, medical practices and hospitality spaces across the Triad.
How long does a full-service project take?
Design typically takes 4–8 weeks. Furniture and custom lead times are the long pole, usually 8–16 weeks, and we install together at the end.
Do I have to buy furniture through you?
No, but clients generally do — our trade access, pricing and the fact that we receive, inspect and install everything is a large part of the value.
