We just finished with the High Point Furniture Market and honestly, we were totally inspired. We typically watch for the Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore color of the year to show up in the mix. This year, the manufacturers did a fabulous job. An emerald green velvet sofa in one showroom and blues in other showrooms. I probably have mentioned before that blues never go out of style and continue to be the most popular color. For midcentury modern, the fabrics added browns to the mix, but blue held strong with the style. I love the design of the new fabrics and Thibaut won out for the best-dressed showroom at the market. They always create an entirely new space of fabric and design, which they do because that is their business. Lillian August, Mrs. Howard, and Hickory White had wonderful new case goods with a multitude of new finishes. We could not get enough of expanding our minds with all the wonderful options we will be able to choose from. It is important for us to visit Home Furnishings markets because we sit on and gauge sizes so that we can sell the best possible scenario to our customers.
