People ask us all the time, what are the home trends? Modern, Farmhouse, Traditional, Urban, and French styles are all desired trends. Two clients chose the French style last year and we finished their homes this year. Each client had a different perception of French. Farmhouse can mean modern or traditional, so it depends on what one likes. French style can mean rustic or traditional. Each of these styles has a different twist than they did 20 years ago. However, some similarities are brought into the play of what they like. They each had a vision. More than likely, it is what the magazines present or the internet in some of the popular social media accounts. For French, one might like the idea of travertine tiles and modern lighting. It all can mix and juxtapose naturally. Another version can be natural elements like unlacquered brass accents on range and hardware. All beautiful. It is always a pleasure working with distinctive styles. It keeps our job interesting. We start by listening to our client and creating a CAD layout and renderings of selections and PowerPoint presentations. We make it as easy as possible for the client to understand what we have envisioned for them and hopefully solve the changes they want.
