Fall is about to be upon us and if you are like me, I would like to remodel a small bathroom. Since we do turnkey remodeling, we sometimes like to write about the process and what it takes to remodel a bathroom. We also remodel kitchens and have one of those we are currently working on as well. We start off by having a few meetings with the client to find out their end goal. Sometimes they know and sometimes it is about the change of aesthetics. Of course, we want both as a design firm that also is firm that has their contractor’s license. We are unique in that we do both. In my early career, I would help the client with selections such as cabinets, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, and color flow. But in today’s world, we do it all which helps us achieve our end goal. The photos on this blog show a more recent bathroom we just finished. When we met, their request was to enlarge the shower, create a linen closet, wallpaper the bathroom, add shutters as a window treatment, and replace the tub with a free-standing newer updated tub. We accomplished all their goals, and it is beautiful. Most do not realize that you should have a designer with your kitchen and bath remodel but remember it does take the vision of a designer to give you answers to all the questions that a contractor will have. That is why we also became contractors. We have the edge. Remodeling season is here.
