What is important to you? Is it all about family and friends during the holidays? Most of us want to decorate and make our home cozy. We want our guests to have fun, rest, and enjoy. I have always treasured these times and now my daughter has continued the traditions that we made for her when she was growing up. It warms my soul to see her decorating for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. She has two little girls and last week we face-timed and I watched my four-year-old granddaughter decorate their dining room tree. She was so excited to decorate with her Mommy. I see my daughter following in my footsteps with her girls. She absolutely loves everything about the holidays. Bring out your best treasures and let them shine for the holidays. It brings nostalgia. We have so many treasures from my family like gold candlesticks (which I keep seeing in magazines), old tablecloths with patterns, and embroidered white napkins come to mind. Changing out the pillows to festive patterns and colors is a way to add interest and of course throws. I have several red velvet throws that I throw across the sofa to add red to an off-white sofa. The contrast alone is lovely. Honestly, Christmas is so easy. Make your family gatherings special this year.
