This home is so much more than four walls and a roof. Evolution and our vision happened and moving in started and happy results accomplished. It is a place to enjoy family and friends. There is an open space for entertainment that fits our client’s lifestyle so well. The kitchen opens to the breakfast/dining room, den, living room and outdoor living. The well-lit grand foyer leads into the living room and serves as part of the open concept. Our excitement was overwhelming when we found audacious lighting to fill the space. Designers will tell you immediately, lighting is so important. As a design firm and dealer for lighting, we resourced all of it. According to everyone that visit is mesmerizing by the lighting choices.
Starting with the house plan, we created a well-thought-out map for lighting, furniture, wallpaper, bedding linens, window treatments and rugs. Once we had the lighting selected, we reached out to a great custom cabinet company and started with them. We drew a CAD of a planned layout but needed the expertise of the custom company to build the perfect kitchen and flex room. Our love of color flowed for the kitchen, flex room, laundry room, drop zone, bathrooms and the bonus room kitchen. We could not have been happier with the outcome of this project. For our firm, we paint boards to show our clients in large sizes for a better visual of the colors. For us color is just as important as love of music.
We addressed each room on CAD and then we rendered the rooms with the intended furnishings and lighting. Designer CAD and Sketchup allow us to present our vision to clients in a good way. We provided a story board along with designs to show our clients the actual fabrics and textures and colors. The well intended plan grows out of so many considerations.
The title fits well but honestly it is a magical house, and a dream come true for designers. The homeowner took us aside when we delivered furniture and told us how much they appreciated our help. It is such a warm feeling when our clients love the result. That is why we do what we do. Creative brains need to be creative.
Most of our projects are a team effort. We have five designers on staff and on any given day, we were all involved with our opinions of the chosen finishes. It takes a team to complete a large project such as this. We enjoyed every moment and the ride. The delivery was well planned. Meetings with our delivery service were scheduled every Friday afternoon to go over the details of every room. We sent him the CAD drawings and the house plan with the intended plan of installation. We had three designers on site per day when the delivery happened, which took three days. So many things can happen even with well-planned deliveries. We felt fortunate that we had few problems. We deliver and go with the installation. We set up shop in the garage to feed everyone so no one would need to leave. They would take breaks, snack and drink water.
