Timeless Transformation: Kitchen and Family Room Renovation

At June Delugas Interiors, we believe that a home should evolve alongside the families who live in it. Recently, we had the distinct pleasure of working with a cherished client of over 20 years. Having designed room after room for them over the decades, returning to update their kitchen and family room was an exciting opportunity to breathe new life into a space we know so well.

This comprehensive renovation encompassed a complete overhaul of the kitchen, family room, and foyer. While our client expertly managed the construction himself, our team was there every step of the way to advise, create the vision, and see it through to completion. We helped curate every detail, from selecting new custom cabinetry, countertops, and state-of-the-art appliances to choosing the perfect finishes for the hardwood floors. We also introduced new furniture, a beautiful dining table and chairs, and a completely redesigned fireplace surround in the living room.

The design process began with a foundational element: a stunning new rug. From there, we carefully built a cohesive color palette, drawing inspiration from the rich fabrics and decorative pillows. When it came to the kitchen cabinetry, our clients desired something unique—a departure from the traditional stark white. We selected Benjamin Moore’s “Sea Pearl,” a sophisticated, deeper off-white that brings warmth and elegance to the space.

To complement the Sea Pearl cabinetry, we incorporated elegant gold fixtures and introduced natural wood elements. The warmth of the wood is beautifully showcased on the central island and the recessed storage pantry, creating a perfect balance of painted and natural finishes.

The transformation was illuminated by a complete lighting update, featuring gorgeous new fixtures and energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the kitchen, living room, and foyer. The final result is a breathtaking, cohesive living space that perfectly reflects our clients’ style. We are thrilled to report that they are absolutely in love with their newly refreshed home, and we couldn’t be happier with how beautifully everything turned out.
