We designed the entire space, thereby moving the kitchen from the center of the house to the space that was once the porch with screens. The home is a rendition of Frank Lloyd Wright. We loved working on such a beautiful Mid-Century Modern Home. We suggested Contractors Cornerstone Construction to do the actual work. Mike Foltz told us that we provided wonderful, detailed construction documents and it was easy for his subs to follow. We selected the cabinets, countertops, plumbing, lighting, tile, and of course the layout of the new kitchen. We also provided drawings for new furniture layout and provided the furnishings. We continued to work one-on-one with making decisions with our clients. After the remodel was finished, we installed the new furnishings for the kitchen, dining, living, and sunroom and really the entire first floor. We scheduled our photographer to take professional photos. We staged the space as well for artwork and accessories that we had not planned. The homeowner loved the staging accessories and kept most of them. She was in love with an original artwork we hung in the living room. It took two years to complete this project mainly because of Covid and the supply chain issue. But we prevailed, as did Cornerstone to finish the project. Our clients were extremely happy with the newly remodeled space and furnishings. They were very nice to allow their home to be in a local magazine, albeit some of the information was not exactly accurate. We were more than the kitchen designers, as he wrote. It is certainly a mid-century classic with a water-front view of the surrounding lake. A fresh look is not enough detail to describe this beauty—a menagerie of windows.
