It is hard to believe we are entering December and most of us are in the mood to decorate for Christmas immediately after Thanksgiving. Holidays put us all in the decorating mood. We put up a tree early this year and I think most of us associate Christmas with a happy time of year. Our tree is nine feet tall, and we have collected over 2,000 ornaments over many years which now classify as vintage. It takes a week to decorate.
I love hosting my family coming in from Chapel Hill, Columbia, and Atlanta. We are already planning for food, decorations, and other accommodations that may be required. We are also adding a two-drawer refrigerator in our kitchen for beverages. One can never have enough refrigerator space. My thoughts are to make my home comfortable and joyful. I am looking forward to our grandchildren coming to visit, which is pure joy. The happiness in their eyes is enough for me. Remember that your surroundings should be beautiful, comfortable, and inviting.
