Our very own Leigh Ann Alexander is a great asset to our design team, and has worked on a range of projects over the past several years to give our clients outstanding custom finishes and artwork in their homes.  She completed her most recent artwork for our young clients who we have been working with for over a year.  It started when our clients asked us to design their large living/dining room.  The light coming in the front windows emphasize the beautiful architecture of the room,  while the large windows toward the back of the room and showcase the Yadkin River.  The room houses a black baby grand piano, a dining table with eight chairs, a large display cabinet, and a seating arrangement (sofa, chair, end table and chest).  We chose Manchester Tan by Benjamin Moore for the wall, and accent colors of gray, beige, blue and coral.  But the room was still incomplete;  a large blank wall behind the sofa needed something to make the room come to life.

Our designers sketched a drawing using accent colors to coordinate with the room we created.   Leigh Ann chose to use tissue paper and layers of paint to create depth on her canvas.   Leigh Ann taught art in public school for 20 years and has been our on-staff artist for over 7 years.   She has experience in theatrical art and she teaches classes in the art district downtown Winston-Salem.  We hope you love our special artwork as we plan to create more designs for Leigh Ann to paint and showcase in our Retail Store Location in Clemmons.

Watch for Part II next week to see photos of the completed room including the custom artwork hanging over sofa.
