What does décor mean to you? For most of us, it means our homes where we live and now work, are important to us. Family dinners have become important again, comfy furnishings, fresh paint, and the list goes on. As a dream team of experts at our local store and design office in Clemmons, we want to ease our clients right into the changes that they are wanting to achieve. Believe me, I am the first to tell you that I saw so much that needed to be done while out for a few months earlier this year. I have been chopping away at the list for my own home since about May. It feels good to check it off the list. Although last year was a big year to do a refresher paint on our main level, I have added some items such as pillows and accessories to my home. I have been looking for a rug for my breakfast room for 4-5 years now, but to date, I have not found the right one. It must be vintage with a transitional look to go with a mixture of old and new. My goal for 2021 is to redo my kitchen. Quite the undertaking if anyone has lived through it. I hope to post videos of the project from start to finish. No matter what colors come and go, I love light finishes that never go out of style. Some want a mixture of color and I get that, but for me, I love a clean, well designed kitchen. We love adding color to those kitchens when clients want it. Some of the new wood finishes that look mid-century are delightful and mixed with whites, are even more delightful. Since the plans have been taking place for a year now, it should go smoothly. Now living with the mess is a different story. We will not even go there.
