When you think of dining rooms, what do you think of? I always think of the southern traditions that are centered around famous dining rooms. There was a trend and someone decided that dining rooms were not needed a few years ago. But, they have resurfaced in a short period of time. Women love dishes and they love to display them in their dining rooms. Tradition is passed down from Mother to Daughter. I know my daughter who is only 23 loves my old dishes and my inherited dishes from my Mom. Dining Rooms can be casual, graceful or elegant. My dining room is a collection of old plates, an old French painted cupboard, and a 200 year old chestnut table, which truly is what I call Deep South. The window treatments are blue and white 18th century birds on a vine fabric.
