We have been collaborating with a client since last year and finally delivered some of their home furnishings that we proposed and purchased. If there was ever a home my team has worked on, this is the American Dream Home. Built in the l920s yet updated over the years. The home has so much history and beauty that I could hardly contain myself when we delivered furnishings to complement the style of the home. The homeowner was hospitable to everyone and fed our delivery folks. I do not think they have ever experienced anyone feeding them before. They went on and on about it. We give them money to go purchase lunch, but she made their lunches. Wow. What a treat! The large rooms needed furniture to fill them, but not just anything. The right touch of soft colors, blues, and greens to go with their cream colors in the home. We started with new, but reminiscent of old rugs, to fit the traditional Southern plantation style of the home. Our goal was to make the home inviting with a surrounding of warmth with furnishings and color. We are not finished but anything we do at this point will be gravy. It is an honor to be part of such a wonderful history. Over the past few years, we have worked on several older homes and sometimes you can feel the past by just standing in the presence of history that was once called an American Dream Home. Deep down, we all want the same thing, a place to call home.
