Innovative, Inspiring and creative. With our Parade of Homes each year, we try to bring the latest innovation to our houses. That is one of the reasons we visit Atlanta. They have wonderful design seminars that help us let our clients know what is happening. We also see and bring back unique product. July is the month we go to Atlanta, and I have already begun the color process of the showcase house we do every fall. I normally have the fabrics selected and at least a concept of the design. Each year it is hard to outdo the last. I generally take some time alone and think through ideas. This year we definitely mixed in old accessories and integrated new into the design as well. The neighborhood is Buena Vista and we named the house the Buena Vista Gables, which means cottage. The old accessories follow the feel of the outside and the gold light fixtures create a warm flow. We wallpapered the dining room in an oriental bamboo, and the foyer chandelier carries the same theme, as well as some of the accessories. It is a must-see house this coming weekend October 13-l4 and again on October 20-21. Visit us at 32l7 Buena Vista Road to see for yourself. We mixed tonal blues and greens throughout the house. The warm green floral Thibaut fabrics in the keeping room set the tone for the entire house. The fabrics in the pillows pull the pale blues and the paintings pull the greens. So, it is a well-versed house with color mixing well throughout. Our direction for design was simply to create another Platinum Winner.
