Sophistication is soft patterns, tailored furniture, classic design, and all a part of what we do. Most styles are acceptable in today’s design world, but classic is something that we can hang onto forever. Understated Elegance and Classic are synonymous. They have been around for as long as I have been in this business. We work with any style, and make it comfortable, beautiful, and inviting. Classical proportions are considered with every style of home as well with our design. A sophisticated, understated sofa goes a long way in the arrangement of a room accentuating the architecture. We apply symmetry where needed, which might mean a pair of matching lamps or matching end tables. These days Classic is also referred to as Transitional where clean, contemporary lines as a contrast to warm and handsome creamy walls, are standard. We do like adding that element of surprise, like a curved accent console in a foyer or a dining room. I like coming into my own home where it feels like a cocoon of cream and white. With business as usual, receiving fabrics, rugs, lighting, and accessories, going home to a less busy environment gives my mind time to rest and Elegance is Part of Design where it begins at home.
