Years go by and suddenly you realize you need to elevate your interiors. As your upholstery ages, those pieces begin to look tired. Updating those items will refresh your home. Painting your interior walls will give it a fresh look as well. There is a trend to wallpaper accent walls (which was done 20 years ago). It has come back around. Trends come and go but most of the time the trends have been popular at one time or another. There is a huge mix being shown in our design magazines. Our younger adults are loving what their grandparents and parents had like bench-made furniture. Mid-Century is mixed with traditional and modern. Traditional pieces are heirlooms with a little more curve and interest in the case goods. I have noticed in the Triad that Vintage Pop-Up stores are also popular, which means the old traditional, mid-century or even l970’s styles are returning. Reusing furniture makes sense if you like the styles. My home is made up of memories from my past with my grandmother’s pottery, my mom’s bow front glass China cabinet, and French chests. I mixed modern art and fabrics, too. It feels inviting. It makes sense to Elevate Your Interiors. Hiring a professional would make the job easier.
