We would like to think we are Pros and can help clients with almost anything involving their home. If you think about it, you need a plan for everything you do with most projects. Your home is the place we call safe and making it your own is important. Clients ask me all the time if I think spending the money is worth it when they decide to resell. I always think your home, your safest place, is worth spending money on to make you happy or make it more functional. I decided the exact same thing last year for my own home. My list consisted of repainting all the rooms one by one. The master bathroom was being remodeled, but out of necessity, due to a large crack in the floor tile. To be honest with you, that began the entire process of noticing my home. I am always so busy thinking and planning other people’s homes, I forgot my own. Isn’t that the way it normally turns out? It was still hard to plan my own, because when I get home, I’m tired and want to put my feet up. I just don’t want to think about it. But, forced to think about it all, I came up with a plan to work my way through my home. I began by decluttering. I bought a few pieces of abstract art to replace some of the old art, reduced items on my walls and shelving, and redid all of my shelving, thereby repurposing some old memorabilia.
The one thing left for us to do is remodel the kitchen. Now, that takes some recalculating of time and being out of one’s kitchen is not fun. I watch customers do it all the time. I’ll let you know when our kitchen remodel happens, but for now, we have a new grandbaby and that takes priority. Call June DeLugas Interiors, Inc. to be the Pro that can help you with your next project.
