One of my favorite projects to write about is bedding. I have always believed that the master bedroom should be one of the first rooms to spend money on when moving into a new space, or redoing a tired space. We layer bedding upon bedding; pillows are an important accent to add dimension to any bed. We start with piles of pillows, each with a different texture and size.
If you keep a few key pieces neutral, i.e., the coverlet or mattelassee and a few shams, a change of color is easy when you desire something new. Modifying the bed with a coverlet at the foot finishes off a great look. Now for me, I also look for the softest Egyptian cotton sheets available for my own bed and then I can say “Happiness Starts Here.”
