When a client says to us, “I can’t figure out what to do with my space,” we are always up for the challenge.  We had already helped our client with her kitchen and den where we chose a fresh new color palette.  For the foyer, she wanted a clean, transitional look to compliment the other rooms in the house.  We started by painting over the gold faux finished walls using Light French Gray by Sherwin Williams.  We suggested painting the stair handrails black and added a modern patterned carpet for a stair runner.  At the top of stairs, we added a triptych of water colors in bright colors accented by recessed lighting that took the place of a ceiling mounted fixture.  We also added a new transitional chandelier that fit the scale of the two-story foyer, along with a beautiful hammered silver sconce next to the stairway.

An entry foyer sets the mood for the house as soon as you walk in, so it’s important that it makes an impression, and this foyer definitely does its job!
