When we visit a client’s home, we sometimes need time to internalize the room or project.  We see something that reflects upon our inspiration and to name a few: a flower, movie, fabric, piece of furniture, outside trees or birds.  All you have to do is walk around and the inspiration is there before your eyes.  Recently, I pulled an idea from an antique pine chest in a family room.  They wanted to cozy up their very large room and the thought of (old fashioned) pine paneling came to mind.  The warm tones of pine accenting with their antique rugs of reds and blues would feel right in place.  Of course, we would make molding panels almost like cabinets (or like a study) instead of straight 8” board panels.

What inspires you?
