For the past several blogs, we have emphasized making your home somewhere you relax, feel safe, entertain and enjoy. Blogs are about sharing and I want to share my inspiration for space, color and light with you by the attached photos. The Living Room is a before and after and shows a musician’s “Life to Love.” We gave her room a timeless design with a modern feel. The space backs up to a golf course and the sun enters the room with glare, therefore, we added linen shear embroidery draperies to open and shut for light control.

Taking all the challenges proposed to us by our client, we ventured into our many books of fabrics and color to come up with a textured and layered creamy room. The wood pieces have different finishes, including patina gold on the coffee table, black wood on bergere chair and two toned patina gold and silver on the architectural wood chest. We used a tortoise finish on the end table and topped it with a classic clean line lamp. The piano was our inspiration which is a lacquer black. The fabrics were mostly light with accents of grays and gray blue trim. Let the music begin!
