It has been my experience that festive traditions offer comfort and undeniable warmth. My family looks forward to getting together on Thanksgiving to share our lives and good food. I look forward to chocolate pie made by my cousin’s husband and I don’t even know who makes the potato salad, but I like it. Decorating is an important part of the holidays and I normally use fresh pumpkins and fresh fall flowers to brighten up the space. I mix my dishes since there are so many people. With my old fashioned blue ridge pottery, pottery from Cole’s at Seagrove from many years ago and pottery from France. I mix it all with reckless abandon and everyone loves it. You really don’t have to be fancy. It is so easy to have a beautiful table using your existing accessories. The dishes mentioned above are also colorful and add dimension to the table.
