When we started with this client several years ago, she indicated to us that she would want our help with all her rooms one at a time. We recently finished the family room and the powder room. The family room is amazing; it is 40 feet long and allows for 3 different room settings while still having a continuous feel. Our client loves green so that became the accent color reflecting the hues of greenery outside their French doors. Layers of textures and neutrals were used on all the furnishings along with a mixture of wood tones and light painted furniture. The silk and wool rugs in the dining and conversation areas add a plush, luxurious feel against the hardwoods. The finished room is…well I’ll let you judge for yourself. The client, obviously, is very happy with the result.
To enhance the height of 10′ ceilings in the Powder Room, we advised the client to apply 1 x 6 boards in the ceiling and paint all the trim, boards, and walls the same light color. We purchased a gold mirror and a patina gold lantern chandelier. The paint color we recommended was Benjamin Moore’s White Dove in the Pearl finish, which adds another dimension of light to any room.
