There are all kinds of elegance when designing homes: French elegance, Simple elegance, Traditional elegance, Understated elegance, Sophisticated elegance, and more.  Basically, elegance means the same thing when used in conjunction with interiors.  You know when you walk into a home if the elegance is there.  If not, and a client wants elegance, we can give it to them.  Natural elegance means the house has character and there is little to do.  Textured textiles are a great start to begin layering the feel in your home.  Pillows, rugs, curtains, upholstery, and trims are also a good way to integrate warmth and elegance.  Trims are edging back into our lives.  I saw a good bit of trims at market on curtains, pillows, and bedding.  I was a little taken aback when one of our clients asked for trim.  Her house is large, and she told me to use lots of trim.  We planned a tape on her dining curtains, welt trim on her bedding and pillows, fringe on four pillows in the family room, and cording on pillows in the keeping room.  My recent purchase from an antique dealer was two Clarence House fabric pillows with tassel fringe.  I love the additional texture.  Everything comes back in time, therefore, something that looks new to some clients may be welcomed back to others.  For me, it is a welcome memory.  Adding layers is the easiest way for you to create a Natural Elegance in your home.
