I am still caught in a trance from the past several weeks of the High Point Furniture Market. Thinking about all the new fabric books we just received and new catalogs from our manufacturers we saw at market, I daydream about putting those ideas to work in someone’s home or even my own home. The inspiration from around the world that we saw with that touch of oriental is amazing. We saw some form of chinoiserie fabrics in every showroom. There were lamps and pottery from the orient we have seen before, but with a new flair. I loved the way each showroom intertwined antiques.
I wondered if what I saw was modern or traditional…the New Traditional.
