Last week, we wrote about how mixing different types of light bulbs can produce undesired effects. Now try choosing paint colors under all those types of light. Many clients come to us needing help choosing paint colors. I assure them that it is not an easy task, and even with years of experience, we sample several colors before finding the perfect one. We start by choosing a handful of colors and then paint a sample of that color on a large board…a 3” paint chip isn’t going to cut it. In addition to artificial lighting, we have to consider the amount of sun light in a room. Although we have a built a collection of our favorites colors, it is important to remember that every room is unique. If you are having trouble finding the perfect color, it may be time to call in a professional!
