This past weekend, I put the final touches onto my traditional slim-line tree. Each year, I ask myself how I should improve my tree. I have over 2,000 ornaments and adding more each year; most have been collected for over 30 years. Handmade ornaments, to stuffed animals are part of this traditional décor. The mantle is decorated with greenery, balls, and Aubusson stockings strategically placed around the normal accessories. My favorite adornment added last year is a hand appliquéd tree skirt from the 1950’s. I truly put joy into every aspect of decorating for Christmas. It is my favorite time of year as we celebrate the birth of our savior.
