Your sense of space comes from what you feel, not just what you see.
It is that time of year again when the Parade of Homes is about to begin. For the past ten years, I have been involved with several builders to design something different to be judged and win gold, silver and bronze awards. This year’s home is located at 4164 Allistair Road, off Peace Haven Road, in Winston-Salem starting October l3 and l4 and October 20 and 21.
Each project begins with the builder sending over the house plans for our review and recommendations. My design team examines the blueprints and we present a few changes, which usually involves space accommodations. Space planning is even more important these days. We give due attention to the importance of “What Women Want.”
In the kitchen, a pantry is a must. We created a drop zone in the hall and maximized the cabinetry. For women, the master closet is also near the top of their list to be roomy. Usually, another drop zone is created within the master closet. Check out our very creative designs. The pantry door will surprise you.
