Serene Retreat
We were ecstatic about continuing the Elegant Escape & Estate Elegance project at East Bend that extended to our clients’ front porch. The vision we had in mind was creating a welcoming atmosphere that matched the remodeled front interior, encapsulating a peaceful oasis of cool toned hues and natural textures. This phase of the project was added on towards the end of the remodel, but we ensured that it felt cohesive with the rest of the design.
With the front door painted in Philipsburg Blue, a favorite of ours from Benjamin Moore, this gave us a basis for the design of this serene front porch. The eggshell toned stucco exterior and stone floor gave us some room to play with the color selections, while the front door guided us to beautiful fabrics and textures that sung the same tune. Our focus was to transform this space from simply the front stoop to a place to relax and take in the amazing view this home has to offer. We accomplished this by adding plenty of seating, adorned with colorful, patterned throw pillows, in the form of rocking chairs, a comfy sofa, and a quaint dining set. On both sides of the front door, we added new brass lanterns to complement the new door hardware, while paying homage to the interior lighting. We brought life to this space that makes a great first impression of this home that continues once you step inside.
