When you start to think about updating your bedroom, who do you go to? June DeLugas Interiors, of course! We look at bedrooms the same way we look at any design project. We ask questions to make sure we meet the needs of our clients: Do you want a TV in your room?…Do you need a chair?…Do you read books in bed?…Do you need machine-washable bedding? After we have the answers to these questions, we start with a scaled drawing of the room and to determine the best placement and scale for the bed, nightstands, and dresser. We then start pulling together our choices for linens.
When it comes to choosing linens, we have a variety of options in all patterns and colors. Bella Notte Linens produces hand-dyed colors from organic cottons; SFERRA Fine Linens provides luxury bedding crafted using the highest industry standards. We also carry brands like Peacock Alley, Traditions Linens, Pom Pom at Home, Taylor Linens, and Eastern Accents. In addition to the luxury bedding lines that we offer, we often have certain items custom-made, such as pillows and dust ruffles.
If you were able to visit our Platinum Award Winning home during the Parade of Homes last October, I hope you took notice of the master bedroom; it was the talk of the town. We dressed the wrought iron bed with beautiful layers of coral and white bedding by SFERRA and added marble-top nightstands from Lillian August/Hickory White. With the reclaimed heart-pine floors, it seemed appropriate to use a natural cotton fiber rug with coral stripes by Annie Selke. We carried the coral theme into the master bathroom where we selected Calcutta 12×24 tile for the floor and shower. White cabinets with lots of mirrors and reflective light set the tone for the White Springs granite. The coral towels from SFERRA perfectly coordinated the bedding and contrasted the light colored tile.
