Hanging art is a serious business. Our clients depend on us to hang their art when they purchase from us or they move and need help with existing artwork. When we suggest art to a client, we normally take a professional with us to hang when we deliver. Most clients are confused where to hang art. We take the guessing out of the process for you. If you decide to hang your own, a good rule of thumb is about 57 inches from the floor to the middle of the photo. Most people hang artwork too high, and it will take you a while to get used to this formula. Galleries and Museums use this formula as well. Hanging at this height gives balance to all your other furnishings and rugs. Of course, over the bed and over vanities are a different height. This rule is when the art stands alone.
