Paint will change your house to create any look you want, whether it’s modern, traditional, rustic, or contemporary.  In most every home we start with, paint is always our friend.  Furniture, cabinets, light fixtures, curtain rods, and of course walls can all obtain a new look with a fresh coat of paint.

We recently decided to paint real cherry cabinets in a kitchen because the room itself was too dark.  Mature trees blocked most of the sunlight.  We also added a very light backsplash for bounce of light.  Typically, I select Benjamin Moore’s Pearl finish when we have light issues.  The finish has a slight glimmer and keeps the color more even;  it doesn’t change from wall to wall as a flat finish sometimes does.

Tip:  If you have a set of random chairs, you could paint them all one color to make them feel like a set in a dining room.  We have one client who was willing to do her own painting.  Before we finished with her house, she had painted a sideboard in her dining and all the wood chairs around the table.  Her recent project that she finished was an antique secretary.   Her low country house is fresh and up to date.  We purchased her upholstery sofas, chairs, and drapery fabrics.  It all came together so nicely with the Miracle of Paint.
