This past weekend we photographed a beautiful home, we just finished or nearly finished, and I want to share some thoughts on how we put together this design. The dining room furniture was already in the home. We contrasted the dark furnishings with a diamond embroidered light fabric. This was intentional to contrast the dark wood pieces. A gilded mirror, gilded lamps, and gilded hardware married to the surroundings created a warm introduction. The window treatment fabric was selected carefully to flow with the other rooms we were also working on. Beside the dining room is the living room which we crafted lovely traditional window treatments with a large floral pattern with birds. We added lamps, accessories, pillows, and tables enhancing the existing room. We added accessories to the shelving using some of the homeowner’s items along with accessories from our store. Moving to the foyer, we added a console with gold hardware, a mirror, and lamps along with a basin with blue flowers. The guest bedroom received an uplift with new window panels as well and new lamps. Updating your home can be easy by adding new lighting, window treatments, and a few accessories, thereby keeping it A Timeless Traditional.
