Sometimes we like to throw the unexpected fabric into a décor or something unconventional into the mix, but we make sure it marries to the subject of the room we are working on. The more tactful and unexpected, the better. For us, we shop for our clients, whether when we are on vacation or purposely with the vendors we purchase from. We tuck away our clients plans in our minds. Yesterday, I found a rug while I was antiquing locally for a new client. Never expected to find an old rug that would work, but it was the perfect size with the perfect colors. We never know what treasures we will find. We keep our minds open all the time. Believe me, we eat, drink, and wake up thinking about our projects. Most of the designers I know have passion and that is really what it takes to make homes beautiful. Our new client showed us around and her plans for her garden. I saw two artful clay urns and a wonderful bergère chair. These could be items our client is interested in. She has a lovely French-style bedroom. We purchase unique, unconventional items for our store for those who like to shop on their own. Come and visit us.
