A beautiful model home built for the 2000 Parade of Homes was ready for a splash of 2015! We started by replacing the dark Oriental rug with a fabulous light shag that beckons everyone who enters the foyer. The much loved oversized chair had worn out its welcome, so we upgraded to a smaller yet comfortable swivel chair and ottoman, while a light weight accent chair replaced the library-style wing chair. We introduced a splash of color on the leather sofa and chairs with bright and cheerful pillows. The cleaner lines and lighter colors set the tone for the new accessories and mantel decorations as well as a pair of great textured cream lamps. The next phase will be to replace the end tables. Our faux artist transformed the dining room by painting the dark wood furniture, creating a lighter and cleaner feeling. What a cheerful lift when you walk in the front door!
