Every year, we venture out to four markets… two in High Point and two in Atlanta.  This year’s Fall Market in High Point was sprinkled with so many bright colors for accessories, rugs, artwork, and pillows.  Some showrooms had a quiet feel while others had blocks of color scattered about.  One of our favorites was the Lillian August showroom who partners with Hickory White.  Her designs are cutting edge with juxtapositions of old and new.  This year, her new color was raspberry, a color that brings back memories from the past. Her showroom featured a sofa in deep raspberry against raspberry walls.  Now I must admit, this color would be used sparingly in most homes, but the museum-like quality of her showroom was inspirational.

We spent an abundant amount of time at the Hickory Chair and Pearson showrooms.  It is obvious upon entering that they have a multitude of talented designers for their case goods and upholstery pieces.  Their fabrics are so beautiful and many are exclusive to Hickory Chair and Pearson.  We enjoy the option to order custom upholstery and casegoods with their ‘Made to Measure’ program.  These companies offer an abundance of custom options that cater to designers like myself as we conceptualize and draw furniture to scale for our client’s homes.

We love the fact that all of these furniture lines are made right here in North Carolina.  We highly support American-made products and strive to sell furniture exclusively made in the USA.

We have been inspired by all of this year’s markets and we’ve decided to make a few changes to our own showroom.  We have been busy painting and rearranging, as well as adding lots of new artwork, furniture, bedding, and accessories.  Come see the new showroom today and get inspired!

God Bless,

June
